Congaree National Park Trails
The trail system at Congaree National Park provides access to one of the most extensive bottomland hardwood forests remaining in the southeastern United States. Located within the Congaree River floodplain in central South Carolina, the park preserves an ecosystem shaped by periodic flooding that supports some of the tallest deciduous trees in eastern North America.
